Evaluation

Working in a group we have learnt that creating a music video is not as simple as it looks. Making a music video is very complicated and very time consuming and it consist 100% of your dedication and effort. we have learnt that, to create a decent music video your location, costume and the effects you choose to use has to be appropriate in order to suit your genre which means your research has to be very detailed. today's music video differs from music videos made in the past hugely. music videos nowadays are created with many special effects. whereas before they didn't have the advantage of using various special affects.
Modern music videos are made and used as a marketing technique intended to promote the sale of music recordings. therefore it is crucial that your music video attracts your audiences.

Music videos use a wide range of styles of film making techniques, including animation, live action filming, documentaries, and non-narrative approaches such as abstract film. Some music videos blend different styles, such as animation and live action.
In one of the exercise's we were tasked, me and my group encountered many mistakes through out the short process. the mission was based on lypsyncing to a specific song of our teachers liking. we had to shoot a 30 second long video and sing a long to a particular verse. although it didnt sound really perplexing the task was extremely intractable, especially because we was not familiar to the song. when editing our final clip, getting the song to fit in with our lypsyncing was realy obscure. we had a slight problem with the timing which we couldnt do anything about.

By the end of this task me and my group knew we had to pull our weight up in order to create a superlative video for our final piece. we are looking into pop video's at the moment and have are mind set on this. we're looking at various video's created by different artists. e.g: The Script-'man who can't be moved'. we really like this video because it's different to your typical teen pop video. and the effects used in this video is very similar to what we want to include in our final version. we want to create something deviating and unusual as our final production. however we need to bare in mind how difficult it'l be to create something complex, this is because we have a limited amount of resource's and equipment, also the location and setting has to appropriate and not some where out of our reach.
